What happens to your draft
The draft is split into paragraphs. Each one goes to an open-weight model, the kind whose files are public and that no company can stamp a watermark on, with your voice profile riding along. The model rewrites the paragraph. Then the code checks that every number, name, phone, email, and web address from the original is still there and that nothing new snuck in. Then our detector scores it. If a paragraph does not pass, it goes back with notes on what tripped, up to four times. You watch each paragraph land.
Claude, Gemini, and GPT never touch the final text. That is the rule, and it is enforced in code, not policy.
Why this exists
Starting September 9, 2026, everything Claude writes carries a statistical watermark in its word choices. Other providers are following. It is invisible, survives copy and paste, and there is no cloud host or plan that removes it. If you draft with AI and publish under your own name, that mark is now in your work. Handpenned exists so it is not.
What it will never do
It will not invent a fact, a review, a testimonial, or a credential. It will not hide what it changed; the before and after are always side by side. It will not claim a score from a detector we did not run. And it will not promise the watermark is gone as a measured fact until we can measure it. Every word comes from a model with no key to apply, and we say exactly that.
